Rules of Use
The following are the rules of use for all offers in The 2009-10 Invitation Book. By purchasing The Invitation Book you agree to abide by these rules:
1. Offers are valid until 1st March 2010 or 1st May 2010 (depending on edition) or unless offer states otherwise, and offers are subject to availability.
2. Each offer carries unique terms & conditions of use. All users are advised to check the terms of each voucher carefully before use. Read each offer carefully for valid dates, times and age restrictions. If in any doubt, please contact the voucher promoter directly before travelling.
3. The Invitation Book™ makes no warranty as to the suitability of the premises, nor the quality or availability of their service, food or drink. Should you find yourself dissatisfied with the service offered to you, please take up any complaint directly with the provider. We are happy to receive reports from book users on very poor service provided at restaurants, but regret that we cannot act on your behalf in pursuing any complaint or claim.
4. INVITATION MEDIA LTD, and/or its parent or subsidiaries, will not be responsible if any establishment breaches its contract or refuses to accept The Invitation Book™ voucher or valid Membership & Diners Card. However, it will attempt to secure compliance.
5. All discounts and offers in The Invitation Book™ are valid on presentation of a valid voucher or in the case of restaurants, on presentation of a voucher and/or a valid Membership & Diners Card. Amended, photocopied or defaced vouchers will not be accepted. Expired Membership & Diners Cards will not be accepted. On occasions, valid Membership & Diners Cards will be requested when presenting a voucher. Please carry your Membership & Diners Card with you at all times. A reservation is essential when redeeming a restaurant section offer. Offers are void without a valid reservation. Please also mention The Invitation Book™ at the time of booking and at the time of ordering. Present your Membership & Diners card when requesting the bill. Dining offers are subject to availability.
6. Present your voucher to a participating business to receive your discount. Unless the offer states otherwise, you may only use an offer once and may only use one voucher per customer, and you may not combine the offer with any other promotion, offer, or individual or group discount.
7. Restaurant offers are void without a valid reservation. Upon presentation of your Membership & Diners Card, the restaurant is entitled, at its sole discretion, to remove the relevant offer number from your card.
8. We are not responsible, and accept no liability for, the removal of the incorrect offer number from your Membership & Diners Card by any establishment.
9. When dining in a group the following number of Membership & Diners Card is restricted as follows: Up to 3 diners = 1 card / 4 to 5 diners = 2 cards / 6-8 diners = 3 cards. A maximum always of 3 Membership & Diners Cards may be used unless otherwise stated in the individual terms and conditions of the offer.
10. Any use of an offer in violation of these rules will render the offer void and INVITATION MEDIA LTD will pursue all legal remedies available to it by the law.
11. Prices are subject to change without notice and are correct at the time of going to print.
12. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise stated and are not for re-sale. Voucher value 0.0001p.
13. Replacement Membership & Diners Cards cost £15, irrespective of the reason you require such replacement Membership & Diners Card.
14. Diners Cards are not valid for use on major holidays, including those below, even if the offer states that it is valid at any time: New Year's Eve/Day, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas Eve/Day. If in doubt, please check with the outlet concerned.
15. All merchant information is valid as of 1st December 2008. Go to www.invitationbook.co.uk for information updates.
16. Where restaurants also have a bar, offers are only valid for people dining in the restaurant and inclusion of drinks ordered from the bar in the final bill is at the restaurant's discretion. Where the discount is specified as being off the food bill this means the discount is only applied to food items on your bill NOT drink items. Some restaurants may charge you a service charge. Service charges may be applied to the total bill before the discount is deducted.
17. A full refund will be honoured for books returned under the 60 day money back guarantee. The returned book must be unused and all vouchers fully intact. Diners card must also be returned unused.
18. The 'Introduce a Friend' £5 reward and £5 discount is only valid on purchases made directly from Invitation either by post phone or online. A £5 discount off the RRP of £29.99 will be offered to all purchasers in this scheme who provide a valid membership number as the promotional code. A £5 reward voucher will be offered to the member who introduces the new member. The choice of available vouchers is subject to change without notice. Vouchers are processed and posted twice a year and cannot be sent out on request. This scheme is only availble to new members who have not been Invitation members in the previous 36 months.
19. Should either party be unable to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control (such as fire, acts of God, acts of terrorism, flood), then the provisions of these terms shall be temporarily suspended during any such Force Majeure event. If the event continues for more than 3 months, the affected party may terminate immediately.
20. We reserve the right to vary terms and conditions of use of The Invitation Book™ by posting changes on our Websites. Please see the Websites for our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
21. The Invitation Book™ and its offers are intended for the personal use of the individual purchaser of this book and are not valid with other discount offers unless otherwise specified. The barter, trade sale, purchase, or transfer for compensation of this book, in whole or in part or any of its offers, is strictly prohibited, unless expressly authorised by INVITATION MEDIA LTD. The use of this book or any of its offers for advertising purposes, in any form or fashion, is strictly prohibited. The auction or sale of any voucher shall render the voucher VOID. No failure, delay or waiver by The Invitation Book™ enforcing or partially enforcing any of its rights under these forms shall constitute a waiver of its rights hereunder.
