Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, Bristol's City Café is the purveyor of fantastic food. City Café's dishes have a modern European style, and the menus reflect seasonal changes and the availability of the freshest ingredients.
The classic à la Carte menu has included lightly smoked mackerel with ham hock potato cake, summer salad and dill crème fraîche, followed by herb crust rack of lamb, lamb cannelloni, carrot purée, basil lamb jus and to finish try trio of summer desserts - mini summer pudding, raspberry trifle, '99' cone with milk ice cream and flake.
Equally as popular is the Market Menu - a twice weekly changing offering that allows the chef to showcase creative new dishes, fantastic value at £9.95 for two courses. Meet friends and family for a lazy Sunday lunch and munch your way through classic and contemporary dishes, continental charcuterie and cheeses, succulent roasts, vegetarian dishes and tempting desserts.
During warmer months diners spill out onto the stunning terrace (where both the bar and restaurant menus are available) overlooking Temple Gardens.
